Covid-19: 19,753 new cases and more than 50,000 vaccinations in 24 hours in France

362 people have died from Covid-19 in hospital since the day before, according to Public Health France. The positivity rate rose slightly to 6.5% on Tuesday.


The report of Public Health France, published this Tuesday, January 12, reports 8,805 new hospitalizations over the last seven days, including 1,350 in intensive care.

19,753 new Covid-19 contaminations have been identified in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases to 2,806,590 since the start of the epidemic.

Data up sharply compared to 3,582 cases on Monday.

The government hopes to reach around 400,000 vaccinated by the end of the week.
