During his visit to the plant in Melfi (Potenza), together with the president, John Elkann, the managing director of Stellantis, Carlos Tavares, confirmed "all the investments made before the merger between FCA and PSA". This - according to union sources - "shows the importance" that Tavares "gives to Italy and to all workers". Speaking with the workers' representatives of all unions (including Fiom), Tavares also reiterated "the centrality of Italy in the synergy between FCA and PSA", confirming that "all jobs will be safeguarded".
