Serious accident in Normandy. Five people were injured Monday morning after being hit by a motorist in the town of Vire (Calvados), report our colleagues from BFMTV and France 3 Regions. A 2-year-old girl was transported to Caen University Hospital in a state of absolute emergency.
The accident took place around 8:15 a.m. on Monday morning, near Place Saint-Anne. Four girls, aged 2, 4, 8 and 10, were crossing a crosswalk with a 28-year-old adult when they were hit by a motorist.
The other four victims in relative emergency
All were injured as a result of the accident. The 28-year-old woman was also transported to Caen University Hospital, but in a relative emergency. The other three girls were also received in an emergency at the hospital in Vire.
Seven firefighters were mobilised to the scene of the accident to rescue the victims. For the time being, no information has been given on a possible arrest of the motorist.
