Like a presentiment.
For months, Selyan
(first name has been changed)
, Fanny's son, has wanted to sing.
That's because at home, mom often sings.
Not just some humming in the shower, but lyrical flights that will tug at your heartstrings.
So, Selyan, 8 years old, wants to learn, to join a choir.
That's good, in April 2004, La Maîtrise boréale is performing at the Saint-Sébastien church in Villeneuve-d'Ascq (North).
Fanny hesitates.
What if she met him again?
What if Bernard was there?
The rest after this ad
Selyan wins his case.
Mother and son are in the front row.
Fanny spends the concert in apnea.
She glances around nervously, trying to drag Selyan outside before the last song ends.
Too late.
Bernard is there.
He saw her.
He heads straight towards her.
“Fanny!”
» Bernard takes the mother in his arms and gives her a kiss.
" It is your son ?
How beautiful he is!
» He caresses the child's head.
This is too much.
Fanny escapes from the church, leans on a grave and vomits.
Selyan will never sing in this choir.
