383 layoffs and millions of euros paid that customers will no longer see... Thierry Le Guénic, buyer of the Habitat brand in 2020, filed a complaint on Saturday morning at the police station in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, claiming to be the victim of threats, we learned from a police source.

Placed in receivership on December 6 and while the Bobigny commercial court (Seine-Saint-Denis) initially provided for a two-month observation period, Habitat was declared in liquidation on December 28.

Dissatisfied customers, united in a collective intended to bring together complainants, are considering collective proceedings and incurring the personal civil liability of Thierry Le Guénic.

“Threats of harm to his physical integrity”

Thierry Le Guénic says he has received “threats of attacks on his physical integrity” since November 2023 when he requested the placement in receivership of his company in the grip of “deep financial difficulties”.

This procedure, as we can read on the Facebook group called “Collective of customers harmed by Habitat in liquidation”, leaves hundreds of customers in the lurch: they have paid for an order which risks never arriving.

In total, nine million euros in advances were paid.

These “aggrieved customers” describe the “opaque management” of Thierry Le Guénic, described as a “serial buyer” by these Internet users who are now more than 750 gathered on this Facebook page.

According to the complaint from Thierry Le Guénic, who suspects former employees were deprived of their salaries and customers, his personal address was even revealed on LinkedIn.

He filed a complaint for “threat of crime or misdemeanor against a person”.
