Evo & Go: the socio-educational structure that helps young people

Highlights: Younes El Rhazi, a young social entrepreneur, created his own reception structure with multidisciplinary centers. Evo & Go currently has 5 living spaces, including 3 in the Essonne department and 2 in Côte-d'Or. The objective of such a structure is to respond to an increasingly greater demand, which can be explained by numerous reasons: the Covid crisis, better risk assessment on the part of institutions, a more complicated social context, or even precariousness. These parameters will lead to an increase in serious situations (wandering, prostitution networks, delinquency, brawls, etc.), a growing need for social assistance for children, and, in fact, a demand in homes. “I welcomed the first young person in 2018.” Precipitated by the Covod crisis, the Evo and Go team quickly welcomed around twenty young people housed in a large property of more than 15 hectares with individual rooms offering individualized bathrooms conducive to this period of confinement.

EVO & GO: the socio-educational structure that supports young people in complex situations

Faced with the growing demand for accommodation places for young people in great difficulty, Younes El Rhazi, a young social entrepreneur, created his own reception structure with multidisciplinary centers: Evo & Go.

Younes El Rhazi, commitment at the heart of the Evo & Go project

At the origin of the social project of the company Evo & Go, the young entrepreneur Younes El Rhazi entered the educational sector through the back door in 2006 as a contract worker within the PJJ, he is today an actor dynamics of the sector. “I welcomed the first young person in 2018.” Precipitated by the Covid crisis, the Evo & Go team quickly welcomed over this period around twenty young people housed in a large property of more than 15 hectares with individual rooms offering individualized bathrooms conducive to this period of confinement. Evo & Go currently has 5 living spaces, including 3 in the Essonne department and 2 in Côte-d'Or.

Meet a growing need

The objective of such a structure is to respond to an increasingly greater demand, which can be explained by numerous reasons: the Covid crisis, better risk assessment on the part of institutions, a more complicated social context or even precariousness (related to work, psychological disorders, socialization problems, etc.). These parameters will lead to an increase in serious situations (wandering, prostitution networks, delinquency, brawls, etc.), a growing need for social assistance for children and, in fact, a demand in homes.

Be as accurate as possible for the child's understanding

Evo & Go is fortunate to surround itself with a cross-functional team to best support the young people in the structure. This is made up of educators who offer, in addition to their support in their living spaces, remobilization stays in France and abroad (Senegal and Morocco), an educational center and a center health with psychologists and a child psychiatrist. A multidisciplinary perspective is essential to better understand the issues but also to support young people who arrive with psychological disorders or treatments that must be followed and evaluated (in particular due to a critical lack of child psychiatry beds). The reading must be plural.

Evo & Go works daily to support young people with multiple problems, with the hope of opening new centers soon.
