A woman was run over three times by her own car in Switzerland and was seriously injured.
The 45-year-old got out of the car in St. Gallen on Thursday with the engine running – most likely to get something out of the trunk, the police said on Friday, according to the Swiss news agency SDA.
However, the car got stuck on a slightly sloping road and rolled backwards.
The woman tried in vain to stop the car and was run over the first time.
The car then hit another vehicle and bounced back toward the woman, who was hit a second time.
Wooden barrier stopped the car
Then the car hit a sidewalk, causing it to roll in the opposite direction again and hit the 45-year-old a third time.
Only then did the car hit a wooden barrier and stop.
The 45-year-old was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
