(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 09 - Farideh Muradkhani, an Iranian activist and granddaughter of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, was sentenced to 15 years in prison by the Special Clergy Tribunal, later reduced to 3 years.

This was reported by the Iranian media, quoting the lawyer Mohammad Hossein Agassi.

The woman had been arrested on November 23 last year.

Before ending up in jail, you had asked "freedom-loving" countries to expel the ambassadors of Iran, in support of the protests of the Iranian people.

She farideh is the daughter of Badri Hosseini Khamenei, sister of Ali, who in recent days has condemned the repression of the protests.
