Easter is just around the corner, but coloring eggs yourself is too childish for you? This viral egg dye hack is specially designed for adults.

Easter is just around the corner, but coloring eggs yourself is too childish for you?

This viral egg dye hack is specially designed for adults.

Research has shown that the sweeter the wine, the more glitter the eggs have.

Because the sugar crystals settle on the eggshell and sparkle so beautifully as soon as light falls on them.

I was very pragmatic in my test and used leftover wine that had been sitting open in the cupboard for weeks (yes, that kind of thing happens to me too).

But since I prefer my red wine to be bone-dry, I added some sugar to the saucepan.

'Cause I want all the glamour, baby!

  • 3-6 white-shelled eggs

  • 500 ml red wine (the one from the tetra pack works too)

  • 3 tbsp sugar

In order for the color to become even more intense, you should let the boiled eggs cool in the wine.

The preparation is very simple:

  • Bring the eggs* to the boil in a small saucepan with the red wine and sugar.

  • Let cook for about 10 minutes.

  • Allow the eggs to cool in the red wine.

  • Take out and let dry.

  • *For an even look, it is worth removing the stamp on the chicken eggs in advance with a little vinegar essence.

Simply put a few drops on a cotton pad and gently rub over the thin eggshell.

Then rinse with clear water and the Easter eggs can take a bath in red wine.

Are the red wine eggs also something for children or people who don't want to drink alcohol?

    The answer is definitely yes!

The red wine does not get into the egg during cooking, but provides the beautiful violet color and serves as a binding agent for the sugar crystals on the egg.

The red wine taste is definitely not transferred to the egg.

If you now say that the wine is way too good for that, you're not entirely wrong.

But you don't have to throw away the red wine after boiling the eggs.

Rather bake this juicy and chocolaty red wine cake with it.

Or just drink it - now all the alcohol is gone anyway, so the Billo headache wine won't give you a heavy head the next day either.
