One hundred Iranian companies in the 61st Damascus International Fair

TEHRAN (AP) - About 100 Iranian companies will participate in the 61st Damascus International Fair, Iranian officials said on Monday

Iranian officials announced that about 100 Iranian companies will participate in the 61st Damascus International Fair, which starts tomorrow.

For his part, Advisor to the First Vice-President of Iran and Chairman of the Committee for the Development of Syrian-Iranian-Iraqi Economic Relations Hassan Dana'i fled the importance of holding the exhibition under the circumstances that Syria is subjected to unjust coercive economic measures, noting that Iranian participation this year will be more effective.

Mehdi Saeed Al-Zakherin, Director of Pars Rastak, the Iranian company organizing international exhibitions and conferences, said that the Damascus International Fair represents an important opportunity for Iranian companies participating from the public and private sectors to display the consumables, commercial, infrastructure materials and technical and engineering services needed by Syrian projects.

He said that cooperation between Syria and Iran will have positive effects in the face of economic embargo against Syria and Iran, where 100 Iranian companies will participate in various sectors of the exhibition.

For his part, Director of the Iranian Pavilion participating in the exhibition Mohammad Reza Khanzadeh said that the remarkable international participation in the activities of the exhibition in its sixty-first session confirms that Syria has overcome the crisis and defeated terrorism, noting that Iran will participate in a pavilion with an area of ​​1200 square meters and dozens of companies in the field of heavy industry, cars and other facilities. Provided by the Syrian government to the participants in the exhibition.

Mohammad Reza Mudoudi, head of the Trade and Export Development Organization of the Iranian Ministry of Industry, Minerals and Trade, described the exhibition as an event that proves the strength and wisdom of the Syrian state in finding solutions and overcoming the pressures it faces because of its consistent positions.

For his part, Sajjad Nejad, Director of the Arab States Department of Syria, Lebanon and Jordan at the Organization for the Development of Trade and Exports of Iran, said that the establishment of the Damascus International Fair carries multiple messages to the whole world about Syria's ability to stand up to the threats against it, noting that there will be agreements for economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.

For his part, Hamid Reza Sherian, general manager of Palermo company specialized in building materials, ceramics and tiles, said that the exhibition is an opportunity to get acquainted with the needs of the Syrian market and the presentation of companies products.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Mazheri, a media analyst and political analyst and expert in the Syrian affairs, stressed that the exhibition confirms the failure of Syria's enemies to achieve their goals aimed at isolating it and diverting it from its initial course.

Media and political analyst Majid Rafii said that the establishment of the sixty-first session of the exhibition confirms the return of security, stability and life to normal in Syria, pointing out that the exhibition provides an opportunity to hold meetings, consultations and economic and trade agreements to take advantage of the potential of participating countries and companies.

In turn, the journalist and political analyst Daoud Bour Saht saw that the exhibition will open the way for many companies to cooperate and interact with Syrian companies in various fields.
