For his part, the President of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce Ghassan Al-Qalaa pointed to the deep brotherly and historical relations between Syria and Oman and the accumulated experiences of the two countries' businessmen in establishing pioneering investments and accessing new markets. Especially with a “bright horizon” for Syria during the next phase to be the kiss of investments in the region.

The forum included a presentation by the General Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development of Oman on the geographical location of Oman and its commercial capabilities and promising investment opportunities in emerging sectors such as manufacturing, tourism, food and beverage, vehicle sector, marine sector, agriculture, fisheries, information technology, retail sector and others.

In statements to the media, the head of the Exhibitions and Conferences Committee at the Amman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Zakaria Al-Ghassani, pointed out that the delegation's visit to Syria is important, especially that its industries are distinct and of high quality and that participation in the Damascus International Fair is important for his country, pointing to the seriousness he touched among Syrian businessmen.

For his part, Ishaq Al-Shiryani, who specializes in training, qualification, studies and economic consultancy, considered that the Omani delegation's visit to Syria is to take advantage of investment opportunities, pointing out the importance of establishing trade partnerships between the two sides contribute to the transition to new markets.

The head of the Amman Chamber of Commerce and Industry branch in Dhofar Governorate, Hussein Al-Bathari, affirmed the Omani delegation's interest in the Syrian market and held several meetings with their Syrian counterparts, which are expected to result in reaching agreements and signing partnership contracts, pointing out that the delegation consists of 36 businessmen, including representatives of 14 Omani companies participating in Exhibition.

In turn, the head of the Education Committee at the Amman Chamber of Commerce and Industry Aisha Al-Balushi expressed her hope that the participation in the exhibition will contribute to the establishment of joint investments, especially in education.

Syria and Oman are bound by an economic and trade cooperation agreement signed between the two countries in 1991 and three other agreements in the fields of economy, media and environment dating back to 2010.

The forum was followed by a tour of the Omani delegation in Damascus markets during which he was briefed on the available products in the local market and the needs of the local market and the extent of the possibility of marketing Omani products in Syrian markets and the possibility of exporting Syrian products to foreign markets.
