The series of new banknotes of
Swiss franc is complete. The Swiss National Bank (SNB) has presented the new 100-franc note. With 15 security features, the note was particularly difficult to fake, the SNB said. The characteristics therefore include that certain parts of the notes leave rubbing marks on light paper by the copper print traces of color. The again blue 100-franc bills are smaller than their predecessors and thus handy.
In 2016, the SNB started issuing the new banknote series. All bills have one hand or two hands as an important motive. The topics to be illustrated are time, light, wind, water, matter and language.
The 100-franc notes will be put into circulation on 12 September. The Swiss Franc - introduced in 1850 - is one of the most sought-after currencies in the world.
