The General Authority for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises has embraced many traditional and handicraft crafts and opened its opportunities to participate in the Damascus International Fair in its sixty-first session, including the manufacture of soap, both types of laurel, which was associated with Aleppo and olive oil, which was associated with the province of Tartous, and then spread its industry and expanded in the rest of the provinces.
SANA delegate met with a number of these industrialists in the organization's stand, who confirmed that the exhibition gave them the opportunity to communicate with customers and identify their tastes and open the way for them to conclude a number of deals with dealers from outside Syria, especially from Algeria, UAE and China.
Hassan Shaaban from Al-Drekish area is a factory for laurel soap and olive oil and for all types of oils that enter the industry confirmed that it focuses on the manufacture of laurel soap added to olive oil and some essential oils such as rosemary, turmeric, jasmine and rose in addition to silk wax with coconut oil and laurel which helps to lighten The softness of the skin gives it whiter and refreshed and opens the pores and nourishes the hair as well.
Industrialist Yassine Sakka, producer of laurel soap of all kinds from Aleppo, said that he is participating “for the first time in Damascus International Fair with the help of the Enterprise Development Authority” indicating that its production depends primarily on laurel soap as an industry inherited from grandparents and parents, but they have developed this industry from the traditional stage to Classic with the addition of a lot of materials for soap to suit the skin and hair and introduced some types of oriental perfumes such as oud, amber, incense and distinctive flavors such as tulip and lavender in addition to the development of the form of packaging to contribute to the promotion of the product.
The exhibition allowed them to meet with delegates from outside Syria such as Algeria and China and agreed with them to supply the product to their countries, noting that laurel soap is circulating all over the world.
Shaaban pointed out that most of its products consist of natural laurel and olive oil, revealing the existence of a new product included in the industry goat milk and honey, which helps in the regeneration and peeling of the skin and gives it softness and nourished it contains vitamins B 1, 2 and 12 in addition to zinc and iron with acids as it treats acne Note that most varieties are tried.
Shaaban pointed out that he started in this industry about eight years ago, during which he managed to improve his product and introduced a lot of materials that give him added value, hoping that the exhibition will be the main starting point for marketing his product and delivering it outside Syria.
