Mourning for Peter Lindbergh: "He could see true beauty in people"

The fashion world laments the loss of a great photographer. Peter Lindbergh is dead: He died at the age of 74, as his family announced in France on Wednesday. "He leaves behind his wife Petra, his first wife Astrid, his four sons and seven grandchildren, leaving a big gap."

Her daughter Kaia Gerber, who recently worked with Lindbergh, thanked for "everything you've taught me".

Because of his talent Lindbergh was also highly appreciated by fashion journalists. For over 40 years he has shaped the aesthetics of magazines and campaigns.
