Oil continued to rise for a fifth day in a row to reach its highest level in nearly six weeks today, supported by optimism that OPEC and other producers could agree to extend production cuts to support prices.
Brent crude rose 31 cents, or 0.5 percent, to $ 62.90 a barrel and US West Texas Intermediate crude futures rose 32 cents, or 0.6 percent, to $ 58.17 a barrel, Reuters reported.
