100 companies in the exhibition (Made in Syria) for clothes and fabrics

Damascus, (SANA) - The activities of the specialized exhibition for clothing, fabrics and production requirements started in the exhibition city today

Launched in the exhibition city today the activities of the specialized exhibition of clothing and fabrics and production requirements “Made in Syria”, which is organized by the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Exporters Association of clothing and textile with the participation of about 100 national textile and clothing companies.

The four-day exhibition includes a wide range of products for children, men, women, lingerie, socks, leather and all kinds of fabrics and production requirements.

Director General of the General Organization for Exhibitions and International Markets Ghassan Al-Fakiani said in a statement to SANA delegate that the Foundation supports all types of exhibitions, pointing to the presence of visitors and foreign delegations, especially from Iraq and Kuwait, which indicates the recovery of the Syrian economy and national industry, especially textile industries.

For his part, member of the Board of Directors of Aleppo Chamber of Industry and Chairman of the Committee of Exporters, Mohammad Zizan between that more than 300 businessmen were invited from outside Syria in order to open new markets, pointing out that each participating company employs about 100 workers.

In turn, a member of the Board of Directors of Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside, Engineer Mohammed Daadoush between the exhibition aims to market textile products abroad through hundreds of invited businessmen, where they will be hosted for three days to conduct deals and contracts to export the products of companies participating in the exhibition.

Akram Qatout, President of the Exporters' Association for Clothing and Textile, pointed out that the exhibition is attended by companies from all Syrian governorates on an area of ​​about 2,000 square meters and all the specialties in the textile sector. Exporting and opening new markets and competing in traditional markets contribute to the strength of our national economy.

For his part, Fahad Al-Khudair, head of the Kuwaiti delegation, pointed out the presence of a delegation of Kuwaiti businessmen and traders from various disciplines with the launch of the exhibition to see the exhibits, pointing out that Syrian textile products have a strong presence not only in Kuwaiti markets but in all international markets.
