If you live longer, you should work longer. The business association of "Young Entrepreneurs" is committed to this.
"We need profound changes, otherwise the pension system will soon be flying around our ears," said the chairman of the association, Sarna Roeser. Due to rising life expectancy, the pension entitlement has risen in recent decades. Therefore, one must consequently work longer to reach a certain level of pensions.
Pension "beyond the 67"
For example, three years more life expectancy should be worked two years more, one year of which should be retirement. The year 2000 would therefore be the first year, which can retire with 70. "If life expectancy continues to rise as fast as in recent decades, a retirement age of over 67 is inevitable," said Röser.
The tee-off pension with 63 for longtime insured should also be abolished. Since 2014, you can retire at the age of 63 after at least 45 years of pension payment without deductions. This form of pension is popular, it was recently on the part of the German pension insurance. Especially in the east of Germany, where many people in the GDR started early to work.
An expert commission of the Federal Government should submit recommendations on the future of the pension by March 2020.
