Venezuelan Deputy Foreign Minister Ruben Dario Molina stressed the need to upgrade the Syrian-Venezuelan economic relations to the level of political relations between the two countries.

During his visit, Molina called on the Syrian club in Caracas and his meeting with the Syrian ambassador to Venezuela, Dr. Khalil al-Bitar and the president and members of the club to activate trade exchange between the two countries and operate an air route between Damascus and Caracas to strengthen relations and upgrade them to the political level, expressing Caracas's readiness to provide all necessary facilities for Syrian businessmen to participate in Economic activities that the Venezuelan government intends to carry out soon in order to promote the country's economy.

The Venezuelan Deputy Minister pointed to the development witnessed in the Syrian-Venezuelan relations, which have established the bases of the leadership of the two countries.

For his part, Ambassador Al-Bitar noted the Venezuelan initiatives and relations, pointing to the importance of the role and contributions of the Syrian community in Venezuela in enhancing communication and relations between the two countries.

The meeting was attended by members of the Syrian Embassy in Caracas.
