The aircraft manufacturer Boeing installs a permanent safety committee of the board of directors. According to a corporate statement, the committee should ensure that no safety deficiencies arise during the development, production, operation and delivery of Boeing's aviation products.

Among other things, the reorganization recommended by the Board of Directors is intended to ensure that executives assume more responsibility in the future for processes at lower levels of work.
