Sabine Lautenschläger is leaving the Board of Directors of the European Central Bank (ECB) on 31 October. The German had informed the ECB president Mario Draghi accordingly, communicated the central bank. Lautenschläger has been at her post since 2014, previously serving as Vice President of the Deutsche Bundesbank.
Lautenschläger had recently spoken out against a comprehensive monetary policy package in support of the weakening economy in the euro zone.
