The French cheese maker Le Moulis warns German consumers about several varieties of its raw milk cheese. It could contain harmful bacteria.
Affected by the products sold in several states at the bar "Moulis vache", "Moulis vache prestige" and "Bethmale de marterat," the company said.
The recall applies to the cheeses with the lot numbers 19163112, 19170119, 19177126, 19184103, 19191110, 19199118 and 19205124 and the expiration dates (MHD) 29 November 2019, 1 December 2019, 5 December 2019, 8 December 2019, 13. December 2019, December 20, 2019 and December 22, 2019. The products could be contaminated with Listeria (Listeria monocytogenes), which can cause fever and headaches, the manufacturer said.
The products "Moulis vache" and "Moulis vache prestige" with lot number 19228116 and shelf life of 20 December to 27 December 2019 may contain colibacilli. Coli bacteria can sometimes lead to febrile gastrointestinal disorders and kidney complications.
Buyers are asked to return the cheese to the points of sale. Consumers who experience these symptoms should urgently see their doctor.
