The main index of Damascus Securities Exchange rose at the end of the fourth week of October trading by 91.10 points from last week, boosted by the positive results of 4 companies to close at the value of 5708.04 points, a positive change of 1.62 percent.
The index of shares leading weighted by the free shares "DLX", which was launched on March 3 last week fell 3.44 points, or 0.38 percent, and closed at 897.54 points, while reaching a volume of 340108 shares distributed among 474 transactions worth a total of 230.331 million pounds.
Shares higher than last week's closing prices are Al Badia Cement Company by 953 percent and closed at 1053 pounds and Aqeel Takaful Insurance by 59.5 percent and closed at 331.47 pounds and Qatar National Bank by 94.9 percent and closed at 346.15 pounds and Bank of Syria and the Gulf by 15.40 Percent and closed at 305.57 lira.
The lower stocks belong to Al Baraka Bank, Sham Bank, International Bank for Trade and Finance and Syria International Islamic Bank.
