The furniture store Höffner is allowed to operate a helipad on the roof of its branch in Isernhagen. Two couples from the Hanover region have failed with a lawsuit against the neighboring furniture store.
The residents complained about noise and feared security risks due to air traffic. However, the approval of the Land authority for road construction and traffic for the heliport is permissible, judged the administrative court Hanover.
Managers should visit locations quickly
The company had argued that managing directors should be able to fly quickly to the chain's nationwide locations. That was an entrepreneurial decision, said the furniture store's lawyer in the nearly three-hour trial.
Two experts also explained that the volume of the helicopters was below the permissible standard and that the risk of accidents was extremely low.
The flight authorization is valid for the business traffic weekdays from 7 to 20 o'clock and for maximally in each case 15 arrivals and departures per year.
