Investigators have secured around eight million euros in cash after several raids on billing fraud in health care in Bavaria.
The money was in bank lockers and private homes of nurses, said the head of the crime inspection Augsburg, Gerhard Zintl.
If the amounts added up, that would not have anything to do with petty crime. In addition to cash, gold bars, expensive watches and jewelry were found.
Searched more than 210 objects
On Wednesday, around 630 police and 33 prosecutors had searched more than 210 apartments and business premises in the Munich and Augsburg area.
