Hesse: Bus drivers strike on Friday

2019-10-31T22:59:26.258Z

In the whole of Hesse, buses can be late or fail this Friday. The union Ver.di has called the drivers of private bus companies to the warning strike.

This Friday, passengers throughout Hesse have to adjust to disabilities and outages in local transport by bus. The Ver.di union has called about 4,400 drivers of private bus companies to strike. Practically all of Hesse from Kassel via Korbach, Gießen, Fulda and Hanau to Offenbach, Frankfurt am Main and Darmstadt should be affected by the full-day warning strike, according to Ver.di.

Even in smaller places like Bad Vilbel, Melsungen, Korbach, Gudenberg, Gelnhausen or Erlensee it can therefore come to work stoppages. The match will begin at 2:30 am with the start of the morning shift and end with the late-shift finish in the night of Saturday.

With the warning strike Ver.di wants to increase the pressure on the employers in the current collective bargaining with the national association Hessischer bus operator (LHO). These had submitted an offer in the fourth round of negotiations this Wednesday, but the union refused.
