Oil prices rose today amid fresh hints from China about progress on a trade deal with the United States.

Brent crude futures rose 33 cents, or 0.5 percent, to $ 62.70 a barrel, while WTI crude futures were up 37 cents, or 0.7 percent, Reuters reported.
