Weihenstephan calls back durable milk and cocoa

2019-11-08T16:02:07.550Z

Certain batches of high-yield milk and a long-life cocoa from Weihenstephan are affected by a production defect. The drinks could spoil prematurely.

The Weihenstephan dairy calls back milk and cocoa nationwide. A production error could lead to premature spoilage of the affected batches, the company said. The problem is now fixed.

This affects the one-liter Tetrapacks of "Weihenstephan H-Milk 3.5%" with a best-before date of 8 January 2020 as well as "Weihenstephan H-Cocoa" with a sell-by date February 19, 2020. Should the product spoil early, be it visually and clearly recognizable by the smell, the dairy said.

Customers were asked to return the products to points of sale where they would be exchanged or the purchase price refunded.
