Iran's National Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOC) has announced a 50 percent increase in gasoline prices to 60 liters a month and 300 percent outside its monthly quota.
According to the official IRNA news agency, the announcement of the increase in gasoline prices came in accordance with the decision of the Supreme Council for Economic Coordination of the three authorities to be implemented from dawn on Friday.
According to the decision, the price of gasoline in the normal quota of 60 liters per month will rise to 1,500 tomans per liter, while the price per liter outside the quota is 3000 tomans.
The monthly salary for private cars is 60 liters, for gasoline and gas dual-fuel cars, 30 liters, 400-liter taxis, 200-liter double-taxis, 200-liter low-vans and 300-liter high-vans. Liter.
More than 60 million people in the country will be included in the government subsidy scheme to compensate for the rise in gasoline prices.
He said in a press statement that "the condition stipulated by the President of the Republic for the implementation of the project to support the livelihood and the adjustment of gasoline prices is to return all the proceeds from the adjustment of gasoline prices to the citizens completely."
"Although the government had a legal license, it has adjusted gasoline prices only twice in the last six years, and the revenue generated has often been spent to support individuals under the umbrella of the Relief and Welfare Committee," he said.
He explained that the first phase of reimbursement to families under the livelihood support project will be within a maximum of the next ten days and that more than 60 million people in the country will be covered by the project, adding that “the amounts to be paid monthly to single-person families amount to 55 thousand tomans and families with two individuals 103 Thousands of Thomans and families of three individuals 138 thousand Tomans and families with 4 individuals 172 thousand Tomans and families with 5 or more people 205 thousand Tomans.
