The Swedish alcohol monopolist Systembolaget has stopped the sale of a beer and started a recall. The product is at risk of the can explode, said the state-owned company.
"In our stores some cans exploded, so we made that decision," said a spokeswoman for Systembolaget Swedish newspaper "Aftonbladet".
Anyone who has already purchased the Omnipollo Tetragrammaton beer will be asked to return it to the nearest branch of Systembolaget. The variety was previously available in 128 of the 445 stores in the country.
Systembolaget is the only company in Sweden to sell beverages with an alcohol content of more than 3.5 percent. This regulation is intended to curb alcohol consumption in the Scandinavian country.
