The US aircraft manufacturer Boeing has received a vote of confidence from its Lufthansa subsidiary Sunexpress for its Crisis Jet 737 Max. The German-Turkish holiday airline ordered ten more machines of the model series, as both companies announced at the Dubai Air Show. "We have every confidence that Boeing will provide us with a safe, reliable and efficient aircraft," Sunexpress CEO Jens Bischof said.
Sunexpress is owned jointly by Lufthansa and the Turkish airline Turkish Airlines. The company had already ordered 32 machines from the 737 Max range and is converting ten options from the existing deal for the new order.
Actually Sunexpress should receive the first "Max" -Jets already this year. But after the crash of two machines in the series on the airlines Lion Air and Ethiopian Airlines with a total of 346 dead, authorities around the world imposed a ban on the type. The delivery of new machines is also stopped.

The manufacturer hopes that he can at least resume the delivery of new jets later this year. New orders for the plane remained scarce since March. Although British Airways parent company IAG announced a major order for 200 machines of this type in June, it had not yet agreed to do so.
