Minister of Internal Trade: Follow-up movement of buying and selling in markets and intensify supervision so as not to try some weak souls to tamper with the strength of the citizen and raise prices

The Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Dr. Atef Al-Naddaf said in a statement today that once the legislative decrees are issued to increase salaries, the Ministry of Interior Trade and Consumer Protection is following up the buying and selling movement in the markets and instructed its directorates in all governorates to intensify control over the shops so that some weak souls do not try to tamper with the strength of the citizen. And exploiting this increase to raise prices or fraud or monopoly or manipulate specifications and quality.

He asserted that those who beg themselves will be firmly confronted with raising the prices of any food or consumer goods, departing from the bases and decisions governing the pricing process and abiding by the Ministry's regulations governing the activation of the sale and purchase process and placing the materials on the market at their natural and logical prices.

He added that the Syrian Trade Establishment will redouble its efforts to offer a wide variety of different food and consumer goods with good specifications and quality and suitable prices to enhance its role in positive intervention.
