Judicial police committees in the Ministry of Tourism organized about 932 violations in different governorates and 125 tourist facilities were closed in addition to the handling of 455 complaints filed until the end of last month during 950 control rounds on tourist establishments and work sites.
The Director of Quality and Tourism Control at the Ministry, Eng. Ziad Al-Balkhi, explained to SANA that the Directorate organizes preventive and surprise rounds of supervision on tourist establishments and work sites to ensure that they comply with the health conditions and instructions, especially related to foodstuffs, methods of preservation, use and validity, in addition to the cleanliness of the establishment and personal hygiene of its employees.
Al-Balkhi pointed out that the tours include the sites of tourist establishments such as restaurants, cafeterias and other establishments that provide catering service or hotels that provide accommodation service for scrutiny in terms of prices, cleanliness and quality of services and stages of food preparation in addition to tourist sites work .. Tourism and travel offices that are concerned with the preparation and operation of tourist programs Internal and external.
Al-Balkhi pointed out that the tours will also include mobile feeding carts after obtaining the tourist status, especially as these carts contribute to the provision of services in areas where it is difficult to build tourist facilities such as ancient archaeological areas narrow and within the campus of lakes and rivers and mountain areas and near the shores of the sea for a temporary period and during the peak tourist season .
Al-Balkhi pointed out that the directorate works in coordination with the tourism chambers and other partners to establish mechanisms to determine the ceilings prices for tourism facilities services in a way that guarantees the rights of the owners of establishments and citizens in a balanced manner and the issuance of a guide They will be distributed to the chambers and tourist facilities in the governorates to avoid violations.
