Gold recovered from its lowest level in two weeks today and rose but is still close to the lowest level since the 12 of November recorded earlier.
Spot gold rose 0.2 percent to $ 1,457.07 an ounce and settled in US futures at $ 1,456.90, Reuters reported.
The yellow metal, a safe haven in times of political and economic uncertainty, has risen more than 13 percent this year, mainly because of a tariff dispute and its impact on global economic growth.
Silver rose 0.2 percent to $ 16.94 an ounce after touching the lowest level in a week.
Palladium gained 0.5 percent to $ 1805.72 and platinum gained 0.4 percent to $ 900.52.
