The Supreme Council of Tourism approves the environmental park project in Kiwan land in Damascus and amends the decision organizing the tribute to tourist complexes outside the cities

The Supreme Council of Tourism approved the environmental park project in Kiwan Land in Damascus, which was prepared jointly by the Ministry of Tourism and Damascus Governorate in order to preserve the green area in the region and improve the aesthetic and visual landscape and encourage popular tourism to be prepared an integrated financing study and the necessary schedule for implementation and alternative housing plan.

During its meeting today under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Eng. It promotes inbound and outbound tourism and shopping tourism.

The Board also agreed to reduce the indicative fee which is deducted from the revenues of tourism investment projects in favor of administrative units to 2 percent instead of 5 percent to encourage tourism investment and contribute to the development of administrative units and provide the appropriate environment to attract investors.

The Council asked the Ministry of Tourism to evaluate the financial revenues of the state-owned tourist establishments and the physical and financial assets of these establishments to be corrected in the right frame.And it was approved to continue the Ministry of Tourism to rehabilitate and invest Sheraton Damascus Hotel and prepare an integrated study for its development at the level of renovation and development of the public site.

In the field of expanding and developing popular tourism in all governorates, the council decided to complete the investment procedures of Karnak beach and the two slides (ie) and (C) of Abu Afsa area in Tartous governorate to pay tribute to the appropriate tourist activities for popular tourism.

The Council instructed the Ministry of Tourism to provide technical, financial and consultative expertise to public sector organizations, grass-roots organizations and professional unions with regard to the management, operation and investment of tourism facilities and facilities belonging to these bodies to be optimized.

The Council discussed the reality of the stalled tourism projects in the governorates of Tartous and Lattakia and approved the proposals related to its take off, namely the Casino Hotel, Al-Sawar Tourists Returning to Lattakia City Council, Eastern Meridian Projects, Lattakia, Jul Jamal, Entertainment Center, East Blue Beach Resort Project in Lattakia Tartous Governorate.
