Washington-Sana
The total number of aircraft delivered by the Boeing Company of America has fallen to more than half since the beginning of this year amid the aggravation of its problems resulting from the suspension of operating the best-selling 737 Max.
Reuters quoted the aircraft manufacturer as saying today that the total deliveries amounted to 345 aircraft until the end of last month compared to 704 aircraft during the same period last year and also less than half the number delivered by its European competitor Airbus in the same period.
It is customary that buyers pay most of the price of new aircraft upon receipt, highlighting the importance of deliveries as an indication of the performance of the world's largest aircraft manufacturers.
It is noteworthy that more than 40 countries stopped their flights on "Boeing 737 MAX 8" aircraft after the Ethiopian plane crash that killed 157 people last March, which is the second of this type of plane in months.
