Damascus - Sana

The Ministry of Transport once again allowed the transportation of vehicles between the governorates according to the principles and controls of the transport directorates and following up on transactions after they were suspended until the completion of the central program for managing vehicles.

The ministry said in a statement that SANA received a copy of it that the central program for vehicle management is based on networking between governorates, whereas the network connection of the governorates of Damascus, Homs and Tartous has been completed so far.

The program contributes, according to the ministry’s statement, to saving effort and time, relieving the burdens of travel on citizens between governorates and limiting direct dealing with employees and trackers of transactions, considering it “an important step in the project of administrative reform and automation of the work environment.”

Transporting vehicles according to the statement requires obtaining approvals from the governorate in which the vehicle is registered.

The Ministry of Transport had launched in mid-April the experimental version of the central transaction management program in the directorates of transport in the governorates to be able to control the work procedures, details of the documents, conditions and fees necessary for each procedure and collect data in a central base containing information about all the vehicles in Syria.
