No nurse training, but a nursing service with 78 employees: Because he stole a fake document for 1.8 million euros, a false nurse must go to jail.

The Bonn Regional Court has sentenced the former owner of an outpatient nursing service based in Hennef for commercial fraud in 89 cases and document forgery to three years and eight months imprisonment. The wrong carer had been charged according to court over 1.8 million euros wrongly.

As a court spokesman announced on Friday, the defendant had founded despite the lack of qualifications in 2015, his intensive care service and run until 2017. With the help of a fake certificate, which he had issued himself, he had feigned a nurse training. In addition, he had gained access to intensive care at home and paid for the care provided by the health insurance companies - for the most serious cases of care, up to € 30,000 a month. He founded an outpatient nursing team and provided numerous patients with 78 employees.

In the summer of 2017, however, the case flew to a house search on: Among other things, the company was completely overindebted, the trading books opaque. The owner and manager of the company was remanded.

As soon as he was released, however, the defendant moved to northern Germany and is said to have opened another care service there with the wrong identity and with the husbands. Since July 2019, he has been in custody again after relatives of serious cases have complained about employees and their work. In further cases of fraud, the prosecutor investigates in Lübeck.

The accused had made a full confession in the process. However, the arrest warrant has not been lifted: First, there is a risk of absconding for the Russian-born defendant. He also took advantage of a detention order to commit further crimes.
