The Ministry of Public Works and Housing, with its various institutions, carried out during 2019 a number of construction and service works, in addition to some activities and studies related to its work with an orientation to automation and electronic archiving.

In the field of housing, the total value of contracts contracted to be implemented in various governorates and for all categories of housing until the end of 2019 amounted to about 148.8 billion pounds for more than 29 thousand housing, including housing contracts worth about 120.8 billion Syrian pounds and utilities contracts worth about 27 billion Syrian pounds, the share of the public sector from The total of these values ​​is about 114 billion Syrian pounds, or 77 percent.

The value of contracts contracted to implement in the year 2019 amounted to more than 36 billion pounds, as the ministry allocated 5397 housing units in several governorates and for various categories, including 2970 youth housing with their facilities, 1154 labor housing, 1083 saving housing, and 190 alternative housing, so that the total commitment of the institution until 10/31 / 31- 2019 / For subscribers 92,964 houses in all housing projects, the total number of allocations 30,817 houses and the non-allocators 62,147 houses.

The Foundation also concluded several quota contracts for the implementation of residential divisions, including a contract with the Syrian Engineers Pension Fund to construct two residential towers / 2-3 / in Al-Jazeera 26 in the expansion of the destroyed housing project and a contract with the Association of the Ministry of Endowments for Housing and Housing for the construction of Divisions 1 and 18 in Al-Jazeera 26 in the expansion of a project Destruction of housing and the holding of the Nissan Cooperative Housing and Summer Society for the construction of Block 19 on Island 26 in the expansion of the Destructive Residential Project.

In the field of urban planning, the number of organizational plans in Syria reached about 3320 plans, where during the past three years the ministry issued 52 plans in the governorates of Damascus and its countryside, Aleppo, Homs, Hama, Lattakia, Tartus, and As-Suwayda, and approved 53 planning programs in the provinces of Damascus, Aleppo, Homs, Hama, Lattakia, Tartus, Hasaka and 41 A detailed organizational plan for handicraft areas in the governorates of Damascus, Homs, Hama, Quneitra, Lattakia and Tartous, and to transfer 14 plans from paper to digital in the governorates of Homs, Hama, Hassakeh, and Suwaida, and to accomplish the expansion of the organizational plan for the town of Mahrda in the governorate of Hama and the expansion of the organizational plan My town Mier Shaker in the province of Tartous.

The Ministry also provided technical support to the city council of Daraya and prepared proposals for detailed studies for four affected areas within the city's organizational chart, taking into account the treatment of informal housing and the adoption of vertical expansion and ensuring the rights of owners and the commercial investment areas to secure job opportunities for the people of the region while the General Company for Engineering Studies prepares organizational plans for Ain regions Al-Fijah, Ain Al-Khadra and Busima, and evaluating the organizational chart for the cities of Deir Ezzor and Daraa.

The ministry also contributed to the reconstruction by sending the mechanisms of its institutions and companies to several regions such as the city of Homs, Al-Qusair, Adra Al-Amaliya, Al-Zabadani, Daraya, and the cities of Aleppo and Deir Al-Zour to carry out infrastructure rehabilitation work while ensuring the introduction of modern technologies in the work and the rapid construction mechanism.

Regarding real estate development, the Ministry previously created 3 real estate development areas in the provinces of Damascus and Homs, with 6 areas under construction and 18 under study distributed in the governorates of Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Daraa, while the number of licensed real estate development companies reached 33, bringing the total number of companies licensed to the General Authority for Development And real estate investment 61 companies.

As for regional planning, the draft of the national framework for regional planning was reviewed, the document of the basic orientations and starting points of the national framework for regional planning and the preparation of the executive program for the transitional phase in it, which includes projects for preparing a guide for spatial planning studies in the Syrian Arab Republic, a project for updating and developing the national framework for regional planning and the national plan for housing and housing, was adopted. In the housing cooperation sector, the total number of associations amounts to about 2,500 at the level of Syria, where the status of 452 associations has been addressed, evaluation of the work of boards of directors of associations, and the simplification of procedures for citizens.

In the field of vocational education and training, the number of graduates from technical institutes for the last year reached 306, while in vocational training centers for the building and construction sector, the number of trainees reached 282, and 223 graduates were screened to the bodies affiliated with the Ministry.

As for the program to support and enable the demobilized to serve science, which aims to increase their experiences, refine their skills and secure job opportunities for them in the public sector, the Ministry has held two courses affiliated to the first 310 trainees.
