Oil prices recorded a new rise today amid the American escalation in the region.
Reuters reported that Brent crude futures rose to $ 70.74 a barrel, up $ 1.65, or 2.4 percent, from the Friday settlement.
The US crude, West Texas Intermediate, recorded $ 64.35 a barrel, up $ 1.30, or 1.2 percent, after touching earlier $ 64.72, the highest price since last April.
