The state will release additional data on the cost of pensions for IDF officials - the Supreme Court ruled on Monday in a three-judge panel. The ruling was issued as part of an appeal from the "Success" movement against the Ministry of Defense and Finance. Supreme Court decision on the district court not to allow disclosure of details that were blacked out in the appendices of the Kahlon-Ya'alon agreement.
This is an agreement signed in 2015 between the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Defense, which defines the defense system's budget for 2015-2020 as well as issues related to the permanent model and pension in the IDF, whose actuarial cost to the state coffers is estimated at billions of shekels.
The decision was made after a closed-door hearing was held by the Ministry of Defense's representatives only, who presented to the judges the confidential material that the defense establishment seeks to prevent.
