The Ministry of Agriculture announced that the revenues achieved by the Veterinary Medicine Directorate during the year 2019 for the Central Treasury amounted to 98225387 pounds, an increase of 88.8% over the revenues of 2018, in exchange for a set of services that were provided to citizens working in the veterinary medicine sector.
The director of the veterinary medicine at the Ministry of Agriculture, Dr. Ziyad Namour, confirmed in a statement to SANA that one of the most important of these services is the licensing of 258 local veterinary preparations throughout the year 2019 after it has passed all the technical stages required for licensing, in addition to registering and licensing foreign veterinary products and analyzing the samples received by the Quality Control Laboratory Fees for transporting samples from the border crossings to the central laboratory, and fees for licensing services and new production lines for veterinary preparations.
The Tigers explained that this increase comes as a result of encouraging many interested in the veterinary medicine sector to return to the production process after their interruption during the past years in addition to adjusting the value of some services allowance that the Directorate previously provided with very symbolic values that are not consistent with the size and importance of that service provided, within the directions of the government The increase in Treasury imports in general.
The Tigers pointed out that the number of total factories producing veterinary medicines in Syria is 72, out of which 18 came out of service as a result of the terrorist war, and 54 laboratories remained in service, whose production covers about 75 percent of the livestock needs at the level of Syria, pointing out that the facilities provided by the ministry to owners of factories that were damaged By allowing industrialization of others, it helped return 18 damaged production lines to service, which improved the rate of production.
It is noteworthy that the value of exports of veterinary products locally produced amounted to $ 2.1 million, an increase of 55 percent over 2018.
