Iran today announced the completion of the installation of the last offshore platform in the 14th development phase of the world's largest gas field in the Gulf waters.
The Iranian News Agency (IRNA) quoted the CEO of stage 14 of the field, Mohammad Mahdi Tusli Pour, as saying in a statement today that the Iranian Petrobars company, which operates the South Pars field, the largest gas field in the world, installed a marine platform, which is the last in the framework of the 14th development stage today.
Towsley Pour pointed out that with the installation of the platform about 105 kilometers from the Kankan Beach in southern Iran, the capacity to extract gas in the stage 14 reservoir increased by 14 million to 56 million cubic meters per day.
It is noteworthy that with the full launch of stage 14 of the South Pars field, 50 million cubic meters of natural gas, 75 thousand barrels of gas condensates and 400 tons of sulfur will be produced per day, resulting in the production of one million tons of liquefied gas and one million tons of processed ethane annually.
