Lawyers for Carlos Ghosn demanded in the Netherlands on Monday the publication by Nissan and Mitsubishi of internal documents relating to the ouster of the former president of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance. Carlos Ghosn was president of Nissan-Mitsubishi BV, an entity registered in the Netherlands. He was sacked after his arrest in Japan in November 2018. Monday's hearing before the Amsterdam district court was the first public hearing in these proceedings. Carlos Ghosn claims 15 million euros in compensation from the two groups, which he accuses of having violated the Dutch labor code.

" Nissan and Mitsubishi have publicly humiliated Ghosn, " his lawyer Roeland de Mol said in court. " This information and these accusations were never presented to Ghosn. Carlos Ghosn is requesting access to documents related to internal investigations by Nissan and Mitsubishi, on the basis of which the two groups have dismissed their former boss. According to his lawyers, Nissan and Mitsubishi were aware of Carlos Ghosn's activities. Roeland de Mol said Carlos Ghosn wanted " a full debate " on the reasons for his dismissal.
