" No more excuses for not going out, " warns IDF Mobilités. No need to climb a taxi or order a VTC if you come home late at night this Saturday, February 15. For the fourth time since the start of the “ festive night ” experiment, six metro lines, three tram lines and 45 bus lines will be open continuously during the night from Saturday to Sunday.
Fifty-four stations will be accessible for 40 hours straight on metro lines 1, 2, 5, 6, 9, and 14, with trains every ten minutes. Tramways on lines T2, T3a and T3b will run with an average frequency of 20 minutes. Not all stations will be accessible, so be sure to check the IDF Mobilités card for this purpose.
The Noctilien lines system will also be reinforced. The buses will run " on the basis of a traditional weekend night's offer, with occasional reinforcements on the busiest lines ", according to IDF Mobilités. The schedules of the Grande Couronne lines will be standardized with an interval of 30 minutes against 60 minutes in normal times, except for the N135 line (Villeneuve-Saint-Georges RER to Corbeil-Essonnes RER).
Why such an operation? Île-de-France Mobilités, the organizing authority for transport in the Île-de-France region, tests these night-time transport systems one Saturday per month " to give the people of Ile-de-France the desire to go out at night in Paris and in the surrounding area ".
Access to these night transports is included in Navigo subscriptions. Nearly 700 agents will be mobilized on the network to provide the service. Next festive night, March 14, 2020.
