The Canadian group says it wants to refocus on its business aviation activity and use the proceeds of the divestment to accelerate its deleveraging. At the end of the transaction, which must be completed in the first half of 2021 subject to the green light from the regulatory authorities, the Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec will become Alstom's main shareholder, adds Bombardier.
