To validate the contract with tobacconists, the Directorate General of Public Finances (DGFiP) simply required at least one partner tobacco shop in each of the "priority" municipalities listed by the Ministry of the Economy. What are these municipalities? Impossible to know precisely because Bercy and the Confederation of tobacconists refuse to make it public. "It allows us to achieve a good network of territories", we elude in Bercy.
"A way to privatize tax collection"
However, when we examine the list of cities chosen for the experimentation phase in ten departments, we quickly see that it includes, with rare exceptions, all of the municipalities targeted by the elimination of cash from here. to 2022.
