The patrols of the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Daraa during their rounds on the markets last week organized 38 rations against the violating commercial activities.

The head of the Consumer Protection Department in the Directorate, Engineer Bassam Al-Hafiz, told a SANA reporter that the violations included not announcing prices, not showing invoices, displaying irregular bills, selling at an excessive price, charging an increase in service fees, slaughtering outside the slaughterhouse, and charging an increase in gas and diesel prices.

Al-Hafiz said that the Directorate received 8 complaints last week that were dealt with within the laws and regulations in force, noting that the number of closures implemented amounted to three closings against various activities and 4 closings against fuel stations that are closed alternately in order to provide oil derivatives to citizens.

In Homs, the patrols of the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection organized 119 rations against the violating commercial activities.

The engineer of internal trade and consumer protection in Homs, Engineer Rami Al-Youssef, said in a statement to SANA correspondent that 45 of the organized seizures are the result of citizens' cooperation through telephone, written and electronic complaints.

Al-Youssef pointed out that the violations were distributed not to announce the prices and the increase in the price, calling on the owners of the various commercial activities to announce clearly the prices and be satisfied with the reasonable profit.

In Quneitra, the patrols of the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection organized 102 catering arrangements, closed five commercial stores, and seized five vehicles during the current month.

Engineer Ali Zaitoun, Director of the Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Branch, explained in a statement to SANA that the seizure included selling at an excessive price and not announcing prices and not having bills indicating that a number of services were booked to receive excess fare and not adhering to the official price in addition to booking cars to distribute diesel due to a shortage Enough and sell at an excessive price.

He pointed out that the Department of Commerce daily follows the movement of markets and monitors the goods and materials offered for sale and withdraws random samples of food and other items to ensure the safety of validity.
