The first official measure confirming that withholding taxes for soybean exports will rise from 30% to 33% was announced on Wednesday. A statement from the Ministry of Agricultural Markets reported that from 0 hours on February 26, the operations of the Register of Sworn Declarations of Foreign Sales of agricultural products will be suspended .
The State takes this measure every time there are increases in the withholding level to prevent exporters from rushing to register in advance in the export sales register with the "old" withholding.
The decision was revealed by agricultural issues journalist Matías Longoni on his Twitter account and the statement details that the resolution of the Secretariat was issued by order of the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Luis Basterra.
