PSA will pay a bonus of 4100 euros to low wages

“ The record results (...) allow us to ensure that the incentive and participation bonuses paid to our employees are also increasing. Our employees who have the lowest wages, less than twice the minimum wage, will receive 4,100 euros, ”detailed Carlos Tavares, adding that this represented approximately 2.5 months of wages. Low wages received a bonus of 3,810 euros last year. " This is the return of wealth creation to our employees, " welcomed the CEO, who did not specify whether it was a gross or net amount.

New profitability record in 2019

Last year, the group of five brands (Peugeot, Citroën, DS, Opel, Vauxhall), in the process of merging with Fiat Chrysler, resisted the downturn in the global automotive market, achieving another record year. PSA reported record net profit in 2019, up 13.2% to 3.2 billion euros, for the " sixth consecutive year of performance improvement, " said a statement earlier on Wednesday . business ”.

The group also published a record turnover, at 74.7 billion euros (+ 1%), and an historic operating margin, among the highest in the sector, at 8.5% of sales both for the group as a whole (+0.8 point) than for the automotive division alone (+0.9 point).
