Coronavirus and work stoppages: the Ministry of Health prepares new rules

2020-02-27T19:24:13.598Z

To fill the vagueness and counter fake news, announcements on online procedures in particular are planned for this Friday.

Admittedly, the update on February 26 of a decree of February 1 made it possible to see more clearly in terms of compensation for work stoppages due to suspected coronavirus. But many questions remain unanswered, including the procedures to follow if you think you have symptoms. Which address? What salary compensation? Who will pay? Who is entitled to what? How to get tested?

There are still so many questions that the Ile-de-France Regional Health Agency (ARS) was to communicate this Thursday on the subject. She will do so only this Friday, alongside the Ministry of Health, in order to bring a maximum number of responses with one voice.

14 days sick leave fully compensated

Among the announcements of the ministry, should be evoked the setting on line, on the site of each ARS, of a form of request for sick leave compensated, in the event of impossibility of tele-working, as of this Friday. Document to be completed by the confined employee and his employer. This form is intended, it seems, to anticipate a possible increase in requests for work stoppages "coronavirus" that could not absorb the low number of doctors in the ARS.

It should also be recalled that, contrary to rumors which run, the wages of the people in sick leave for 14 days due to confinement, will be compensated in full, and not at 50%. We should also know who will pay: health insurance or the ARS which will have prescribed the stop.

Clarifications are also awaited concerning the rights of relatives of patients affected by the virus as well as the right of telemedicine platforms to also prescribe “coronavirus” stops, as arretmaladie.fr will do.
